How To Order From Katherine's Cottage

Here is HOW TO ORDER any item for sale at Katherine's Cottage,  including dolls, miniatures, bears, and vintage or antique dolls, 

1.  CREDIT CARDS or PAYPAL:  You can order most items at this site by using our Secure Credit card order checkout system--just click on the applicable button to add your item to your checkout basket, pick checkout, and follow the directions!   For future ease of ordering, we recommend that you create a customer account with a password.  However, this is not required for ordering.  We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express and Paypal.     

2.  FOR PHONE ORDERS USING   CREDIT CARD, MONEY ORDER, OR CHECKS:  If you wish to place a phone order, please call during business hours, from 9am to 6:00pm PST Monday  through Saturday, at 530-898-9400 and TOLL FREE at 1-866-914-4733. Please try to call during business hours if at all possible.

3.  LAYAWAY:  We are happy to arrange layaways for any order over $100.00--our general terms for layaways are below.  You may call us at 530-898-9400 to arrange a layaway or send us an e-mail the same day you place an order in our online doll shop requesting the layaway.  Please put your order number and "Layaway" in the subject line so that the request is not overlooked.

• You may pay for your item in 3 or 4 equal monthly installments, with a minimum of $25.00 per payment
• Credit card payments will be automatically deducted the same day each month
• If you wish to pay by check or money order, that is fine, but you must remember to send the payment; we do NOT send individual layaway statements or reminders.  Payments to:  Katherine's Cottage, Attention: Layaway Department, 1360 E. First Avenue, Chico, CA, 95926. Attention: Denise.
• Layaway payments are not refundable and are not transferable to other items
• Your layaway will be automatically cancelled if no payment is received or made by credit card within any 60 day period
• There are NO RETURNS on layaway items.

3.  AFTER PLACING YOUR ORDER:  For all items, we will contact you within 48 hours if the item is out of stock. Your credit card will NOT be charged if an order is out of stock; if you have paid automatically via PayPal you will receive an immediate refund for any out of stock items.

4.  WE SHIP INTERNATIONALLY:  Use our shopping cart, right online!!  We ship to the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Europe , Asia, Australia and New Zealand.  We reserve the right to NOT process any orders placed from other countries at our discretion, including Nigeria. We ship via Priority Mail and Express Mail International ONLY for International orders; for international orders over $200 you MUST select Express Mail International. NO EXCEPTIONS.

We declare the FULL VALUE for all international orders, and WE DO NOT FALSIFY CUSTOMS DOCUMENTS or mark the shipment as a gift. Customs duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility. No exceptions.

5. SHIPPING:  Items shipped to locations in the continental United States are shipped via UPS and they require a street address for shipment--no exceptions. If you try to enter a Post Office box, you will receive an error.

Items shipped to other countries will be via US Mail via either Priority Mail International or Express Mail International (Express Mail International will be required for any purchases from Itay, Russia and the Ukraine) . We ship items  within 1 or 2 business day of processing your payment.  Purchaser pays shipping via UPS--you choose the method of UPS shipping when you place your order; the cost will appear by each method to help you select shipping.  Sales tax of 8 1/4% will automatically be added to every order delivered to a California address.

7.  PRE-ORDER POLICIES:  All pre-orders MAY NOT BE CANCELLED; they are considered a confirmed commitment, and any payments for a pre-ordered item will be forfeited upon defaulting upon the commitment. For a pre-order, please purchase via credit-card and we will charge 25% of the item cost at the time of the order, and the remaining 75% and shipping cost when the item ships to you.
